When
Bill Franklin designed his little green Enginemen and Trainmen’s
Daily Time Record Booklet for a Southern Pacific engineer in
Roseburg, Oregon in 1957, he probably had no idea that his product
would be used by literally thousands of railroaders all over
the United States well into the 21st century. In fact, the success
of the Franklin Daily Time Record has outlived Bill and his son,
Bob, who produced and distributed the booklet for over thirty
years.
Enginemen and Trainmen from all over the
country have relied on the Franklin Daily Time Record to
record the details of every job. Everything from vital
train information, crew members, times in and out, to personal
expenses are jotted down and saved for quick and easy reference.
The booklets are approved by the IRS and have been proven
to be a valuable source of information come tax time.
With the help and suggestions of crewmen
from several Class I railroads, our job/trip page has been
upgraded numerous times over the past years to reflect
changes in the industry. As a result, the Daily Time Record
is one of the most user-friendly and widely accepted booklets
on the market today.
Please
take a moment to browse our site and learn more about the
Daily Time Record and why it’s had such a remarkable
record of success. Our Products page displays two different
styles of record books as we are now the exclusive producer
and distributor of the Lasby Time Book as well. The booklets
